Hey, looking to turn your brain off for a little? Ok, maybe not entirely off, this book does take some brainpower. I was looking for Science fiction / fantasy - and for a Catholic author. Hence a Tim Powers novel. This is not a "Catholic" book, but it is written by a Catholic and it makes all the difference.
So, if you have a trip and need a fun read, feel free to take this one off the shelf and give it a whirl. If you need some more reading on Tim Powers, don't take my word for it ---- please read Susannah Pearce's take on Powers! The site that Susannah writes on is The Imaginative Conservative. She is a Franciscan grad and I believe married to one of my favorite Tolkien junkies ;)
